My Truth vs THE Truth

Early on in our business I viewed work conflicts between Josh and I as problems in him... but never as problems in me! It took the renewal of my mind through Christ Jesus for me to understand the importance of seeking the Truth in God's word, even when God's truth puts ME in the wrong. OUCH.

Whenever the truth of God's word rubs against what I feel and think I know, it's often tough to bend. But guess who does not change like shifting shadows, that's right, God. So the change must always occur in us.

Here's the kicker, there's always more change in us to be had. It ain't over til' it's over if you know what I mean.

When I thought I had mastered my working relationship with Josh, in came our team. Seven people who God uses daily to chisel me into his likeness. I use to fight it, but now anytime I feel friction in my heart, I know God is highlighting something in me He means to make a new thing, and that's a good thing however uncomfortable it may be.

The next time you feel friction in your heart towards a matter, question your alignment with God’s word, seek out the thing in you that is not like Him,
then do the hard thing and bend to His will. He will not bend to yours.

2 Timothy 3:16, NLT: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."
