It's Time to Grow!

While I initially took this quarantine as a challenge to see how many times a day I could nap....Josh has taken this time as an opportunity to work even harder. ⁣

But Josh’s ridiculous work ethic isn’t anything new. Every other year or so, I notice a colossal growth spurt in our relationship, parenting, business and personal lives. I’ve realized over time it’s because Josh relentlessly and consistently works on every area of his life, at all times, and I wish I was exaggerating. 😫Because he doesn’t relent, there’s an overflow of the blessing he receives to his family. Any growth I have had is because he goes first and drags me (sometimes kicking and screaming, sometimes keeping the pace) with him. ⁣

No matter the situation you find yourself in during this period of quarantine, there is always opportunity for growth. Grow in your parenting while at home with your kids, grow your personal relationship with God while you have quiet and still, grow your relationship while you are both at home with time to commit, grow your small business while you have the space to create and come up with new ideas, whatever you do... GROW. Those close to you will benefit from the overflow of blessing that comes when you commit your time to working at growing what God has placed in front of you. ⁣

Colossians 1:9-12 We pray that you’ll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us.⁣
